Family Reminders

We have a request from Liz: an outdoor movie night with a projector screen, now that the sky gets dark much earlier. If you think it's a good idea, please email Kristin so we can set up a Lee a family Moivie Night!

Next up, Maya has a request. She is selling Krispy Kreme donuts as a fundraiser for her dance class' floor to be repaired. $20 for 12 donuts is her current price.

Finally, as it's almost December, I will be reminding you to think of some fun games we can play at Palm Desert in January, like the money game we can play last time. Crafts are welcome too, like all the pompous we made last year. You can also start creating your talent show routines so that you're ready to bring home the gold medal (and a participation one just in case😁).

Sports News

Hello family! The only sports news I have are from Morgan for Rush and Ford (thank you!) because he is the only one who emailed me! If you would like you or your children's sports accomplishments in the news, then email me at "queenquinnie7272@icloud.com".

First we have Ford's baseball. His baseball team, the Mariners, won the fall championship a couple weeks ago against the Irvine Colts at Great Park. The game was originally scheduled for Sunday but moved up to Wednesday because of the expected rain. Ford closed out the game on the mound and scored two runs. In their previous semi-finals against Santa Ana Storm, Ford had a base-clearing double and pitched two innings (game at Kaiser).

Next, Rush's Bears team won both their playoff games that same week in the rain at Great Park. They beat the Buccaneers in the first game and the Rams in the second to advance to the championship game the next week, which they also won against the Ravens. Rush had an interception and a touchdown which led to a close win against the Buccaneers. They won 36 to 14 in the second game against the Rams.

Finally, we have my game (I saved the best for last😁). We had a bye the previous week, so our first playoff game against the Saints was at Great Park. We won 19 to 18 despite the girls being very mean and we got to play again right after, which we lost 24 to 0 against the Carolina Panthers, but we still got second place rings! They are heavy and big but very pretty!

Mackenzie's Monthly Gummy Bear Review

Hey everyone I'm back with your long awaited gummy bear review. In this article, I'll be reviewing seven gummies: Sugarfina Heavenly Sours (which are in fact heavenly), Sugarfina Sugar Lips, Bon Bon Sour Wild Fish, Smart Sweets Sour Melon Bites, Haribo Frogs, Haribo Sour Sghetti, and Trader Joe's Milk Chocolate Covered Gummy Bears.

First, we have the Heavenly Sours and Sugar Lips from Sugarfina (courtesy of Molly smd Liz). There were only two Sugar Lips left in the packaging when I received them, which speaks for itself. The texture was perfect, with sour sugar on the outside. The flavoring tasted like cherry. I definitely approve. The Heavenly Sours so sister of many flavors, including cherry, blue raspberry, lemon, and citrus, and it is safe to say I loved all of them. My personal favorite was the red, and while still delicious, I believe the yellow was a little too sour. The outside was coated in sour sugar, so if you aren't a fan of sour candy I wouldn't recommend, however they aren't overly sour. I loved how it felt to bite into the gummy bear.

The Bon Bon Sour Wild Strawberry Fish were from a brand I'd never heard of, and while they aren't my favorites, I was still very impressed! For some reason in my notes, I focused on the negative aspects of this one, so here they are. I wouldn't exactly say these taste like strawberry, and they do have a little bit of a bitter first taste and a strange aftertaste. All I'm saying is don't expect to taste a whole lot of strawberry.

While the Sour Melon Bites from Smart Sweets were not amazing, I thought they were pretty good for using only three grams of sugar. In my opinion, they were a little too sweet, and after a few gummies the taste became overpowering. However, I did love the texture.

The Haribo Gummy Frogs were also pretty good, but I can see why they haven't become a classic yet. Personally, I'm not a huge fan of peach flavoring, but they were also a little chewy. However, the Sour Sghetti was AMAZING. It was a little hard to chew, but the flavoring was perfect and I have no other critiques.

Finally, last but not least, we have the Trader Joe's Chocolate Covered Gummy Bears. The texture is a little funky, but personally I thought that the chocolate and gummy bears balanced each other out perfectly.

That's all for this month, but come back soon to hear all about Smart Sweets Sourblast Buddies. Bye queens!
