Totally Pink Tips

Dear Weekly Pink, I am having a hard time with my child in the carseat. She HATES the carseat and sobs and screams when we have to go anywhere. Sometimes she even wiggles her body and gets out of the seatbelt. HELP! I wish I could have you in the car next to her; that would surely help things. :) Sincerely, frustrated and tired mama!

Dear Frustrated and Tired Mama, Maybe you could put on funny music when you get in the car, or give her some fun things to do. You could also try and find out what's bothering her, or give her distractions. Plus also, you can have me come with you! :) Sincerely, the Weekly Pink :)

October Babies

Happy Birthday to everyone born in October! We have so many birthdays, not to mention Halloween (and candy!). Quinn is Belle, Mackenzie is an F1 Racer, and Jack is Dog Man, just to name a few costumes. Also many birthday celebrations! If you haven't tried black russian cake, now would be a great time! :) On October 5th (last Sunday), we celebrated a very important birthday: Grandma Terry's.

That must be over 100 years of her, both on Earth, in heaven, and our hearts. Happy Birthday, Grandma Terry! Today, we also celebrated Grandma (Trish's) birthday! We'll just say she looks not a day over 50 :). Now I'll give a shoutout to all those October Babies we'll be celebrating this month:

Mackenzie's Monthly Gummy Review

While I've been told that candy and processed foods are "the enemy of abs," it's both easy and difficult to believe, I have developed a scale to rate what is hopefully everyone's favorite candy: GUMMY BEARS!! With the help of Jasmine, you will be getting a monthly article on the best gummy bears in stores.

The scale depends on five categories, and products can score up to ten points and each, for a total of 50 points. The categories are taste, smell, texture, looks, and finding the perfect balance of sweet and sour.

First, tried by many last Monday, we have Haribo Berry clouds. A lesser known product, but very underrated. Scoring a 9 in taste and a 10 in texture, I have to say this might be my favorite candy. I ate almost a whole bag and never got tired of the taste! While the looks and smell may not be the most creative, the balance of sweet and sour was also high-scoring with a 9. The Berry clouds scored a 43/50 overall.

I'm going to compare the twin snakes and peach rings because they both recieved the same score of 32/50. I thought the textures were nice and classic, although I thought the peach rings were a little too wet on the inside. The taste of peaches is a classic, but I do think that the twin snakes are just a little too sour. Overall, both had a pretty decent score.

Last, and in my opinion, also least, we have the Haribo watermelon gummies. These are much too artificial, and I was sick after eating only a few. The smell was too sweet, as was the gummy, and I have to say I was disapointed.

That's all for now. I hope you find this helpful. If you have a gummy you'd like me to review, let me know! Thanks for the gummies Jasmine! Byeeee Queens, see you next month.
